DbgView is a program for viewing the debug messages output by some Windows applications, including some IP Office applications. It is especially useful with Voicemail Pro which otherwise runs as a series of services with little desktop feedback.

Download the zip file:dbgview.zip (45KB)
Extract the contents to a folder such as c:\debug on the same PC as the application to be monitored.
Run DbgView.exe.
By default events are shown in the DbgView window. These can be cut and pasted to a document if required. However results can also be logged to a specified view.
Select File | Log Preferences.

Set the logging details as required and then click OK.
Whilst DbgView is running, the viewable trace is also copied to the specified file.
The debug files can be opened in programs such as WordPad (not Notepad).
You can set the level of filtering to control how detailed the trace is.

Select the module for which you want to increase/decrease the reporting.
In the right hand panel adjust the level of reporting.
Close the Configure Debug Filters window.
